  14. Accordian Solitaire 2.0 (Sands, Richard R.; $0) is an interesting and
  15. entertaining solitaire game. The goal is to deal out as many cards as you want
  16. and try to move them all into one stack. You can only move a card up one or
  17. three places and then only if the destination card matches the suit or value
  18. of the card being moved. VBRUN300 is required.

  21. Brain Jam 1.6 (Brain Jam Publications; $12-$20) is an unusual card game for
  22. Windows. All the cards are dealt face up into eight columns. You can move
  23. cards sequentially onto the build pile, or onto the discard pile. This looks
  24. to be very difficult to win, but six winnable hands can be dealt from a menu.

  27. Calculation Solitaire (Thomas, Daniel ASP; $15-$20) is a well-done game of
  28. solitaire. Features include card dragging, saved top scores, multiple
  29. difficulty levels, hints, and more.

  32. Canfield for Windows (Thomas, Daniel ASP; $20) is an interesting and fun
  33. variation of solitaire. If its five levels of difficulty are not enough, you
  34. can define your own levels. Other features include cheating, auto-play, hints,
  35. extensive help, and much more. This is a very nicely done game, with many
  36. challenging options.

  39. Clock Solitaire 1.1 (Fanion, Barry C.; $5) is an interesting game where the
  40. cards are dealt into piles corresponding to locations on a clock face. The
  41. object is to place all cards into the proper pile (aces at 1 o'clock, sixes at
  42. 6 o'clock, etc.) without getting stuck. You can change the graphic of the card
  43. backs, and a running total of games won and lost is maintained. Requires
  44. VBRUN300.

  47. Crispy1 (Pando, Chris; $0) is a solitaire game based on the King's Corners
  48. game. It requires VBRUN100.

  51. FreeCell 1.2 (Allen, Marc L.; $5) is an interesting variation of solitaire for
  52. Windows. There are several options for customizing the playfield. Other
  53. features include card animation, automatic moves, and more. Do not expect to
  54. win this game easily.

  57. Gaps 1.31s (Kokoski, Richard T.; $12) is a challenging variation of solitaire.
  58. The object of the game is to properly move the cards so that you have the same
  59. suit aligned up in sequential order, where each row holds a different suit and
  60. the last position holds a blank space. You have an option to choose from 5 to
  61. 8 cards per suit. VBRUN100 is required.

  67. Klondike Solitaire 93.06.20 (Junod, John A.; $5) is an excellent game of
  68. solitaire for Windows. Features include unlimited backup of moves, a variety
  69. of card and deck options, and an option that sends all playable cards home.
  70. There are even two cheat features available for when frustration sets in. The
  71. card bitmaps are very well done, and there are enough options to keep you from
  72. getting bored.

  75. Klondike Solitaire for Windows (Pigeon Lake Software, Inc.; $5) is a
  76. challenging card game for Windows 3.1. Features include six colorful card
  77. backs, support for card dragging, double-clicking to place cards, and more.

  80. Patience Solitaire 1.01V (Sands, Richard R.; $0) is a fast-paced solitaire
  81. card game. You must build on the four aces in sequence (but regardless of
  82. suit) from four face-up stacks. Don't expect to win at this very often. VBRUN
  83. is required.

  86. Pyramid Solitaire (Waddell, James; $0) is an interesting variation of
  87. solitaire for Windows. The object is to clear all cards from the pyramid by
  88. selecting pairs of cards that total 13 points. A mouse is required.

  91. Pyramid 1.3 (Philip Bush;; $5) is an interesting version of solitaire. You
  92. must pair cards whose value totals 13 to remove them from the pyramid display.
  93. This can be a difficult game to win. Requires VBRUN300.

  96. Solitaire Pak (Waddell, James; $0) is a set of four card games for Windows.
  97. Included are Acey-Ducey, Golf Solitaire, Poker Solitaire, and Pyramid
  98. Solitaire. A 386-20 with 2 meg RAM is recommended, and a hard disk and VGA is
  99. required.

  102. SPS Game Pack (SP Services; 15 pounds Sterling) is a collection of three games
  103. for Windows. ARACHNID and TOWERS are two challenging variations of solitaire.
  104. MINES is a strategy game in which you maneuver around a grid avoiding hidden
  105. bombs.

  108. Thieves and Kings 1.2 (Pixel Perfect; $20) contains two challenging solitaire
  109. games for Windows: King's Corners and Forty Thieves.

  112. Towers (Peninsula Software; $15) is a solitaire game that you can win 90% of
  113. the time IF you are careful. You cannot blow through the cards playing the
  114. first available cards every time as in other solitaire games. To win games,
  115. you will probably have to take back a lot of moves and maybe start the hand
  116. over a time or two.

  119. Windows Spider Solitaire 93.06.20 (Junod, John A.; $5) is a difficult
  120. variation of solitaire for Windows. It uses two decks of cards and comes with
  121. a help file to get you started. The author states that he can usually win 1
  122. out of 5 games, and that skill in placing cards can overcome the luck of the
  123. draw.

  129. Mah Jongg For Windows 3.1 (Balewski, Ron; $20) is a full-featured version of
  130. the Mah Jongg solitaire tile game. Ten different tile sets are included; more
  131. can be created with a compatible paint program and the accompanying PCX
  132. template. Requires VGA.

  135. Taipei! (Norris, Dave; $10) is an excellent game of Mahjongg for Windows 3.0.
  136. Features include beautiful full-color tiles, selectable BMP backgrounds,
  137. user-defined tile layouts, and an on-line help file. Several tough layouts are
  138. included. 400K of disk space is required.
